آزمون PMP در واقع یک موقعیت بالینی واقعی را که پزشک با فرد بیمار یا مجروح مواجه می شود را شبیه سازی می نماید .
🔶 در این روش دانشجو با یک بیمار که اطلاعات محدودی از او دردست می باشد، مواجه شده و باید اطلاعات در دسترس را مورد مطالعه قرار داده و سپس تصمیم گیری نماید که چه اقدماتی برای بیمار بایستی انجام گیرد که ممکن است شامل در خواست یکسری آزمایشات پاراکلینیکی و یا سایر روشهای تشخیصی باشد . نهایتاً دانشجو باید در رابطه با درمان و اداره بیمار تصمیماتی را اتخاذ نماید .
🔶 در این امتحانات دانشجو قادر خواهد بود مسائل بیمار را درک کرده، اطلاعات لازم برای حل آن جمع آوری کند و اطلاعات جمع آوری شده را تجزیه و تحلیل نماید .
